The lake!

We were all lucky enough to make it down to the lake for the Fourth of July! With Josh's work schedule, it's really hard to get down there as much as we'd like. I made it down with girlfriends a few weeks after the 4th, but also really missed the fam, so I had Josh bring himself and the girls down after he got off work on Sat. He got off early, so I got lucky because I was really missing them! Thank goodness I have great girlfriends who didn't mind at all. Anyways, we absolutely love it down at Nina's lakehouse and we're looking forward to going down one more time this summer...over Labor Day weekend when Josh will next have some time off.

Sloane's 1st Birthday Party!

I still can't believe my baby girl is already 1. Seems like just yesterday she was born!! We had a nice time at her party with family and a few close friends. Her great-grandparents, Marilyn and Howard, were able to come down from Iowa, and it was so nice to have them!!

Ella's new room!

We decided to redo Ella's room this weekend. She said she wanted it painted purple, so that's just what we did! She got her new bed frame that has been passed down in her daddy's family for many many generations. The first picture of the little girl kneeling to pray on the cross was given to me as a baby when I was baptized, and I've had it ever since. It's been above my bed hanging in every bedroom I've ever lived in! I gave it to Ella when she was baptized, so that she can carry it with her until she has a little girl to pass it on to :)
